7 Tips on what to do in Lipari

Our favorite places



Start the day with an excellent Sicilian breakfast: brioche "col tuppo" and granita or a nice ricotta cannoli at Bar D'Ambra in Marina Corta, right on the sea in front of the excursion departures, you can come back here later for a snack, an aperitif or in the evening for a cocktail.

For granitas we also recommend Bar Tano on the Canneto seafront and for an excellent ice cream the Papisca bar also in Canneto or the Avant Garde on Corso Vittorio Emanuele.

Rent a scooter from Ciccio Rent to tour the island independently, go to the beaches and stop in the most beautiful spots, during your tour of the island you can stop for an aperitif at sunset at the Za Pippa bar in Quattropani in the upper part of the island.

There are many restaurants on the island, you'll be spoiled for choice: in Lipari center La Conchiglia one of the best fish-based, the Trattoria del vicolo or in Marina Corta the Caffè La Vela. You should definitely try the Osteria Liparota and the Osteria San Bartolo , both excellent locations and delicious food.

In the hilly area of ​​the island in Pianoconte, other good places are the Le Macine restaurant and the Zu Peppino farmhouse where you can enjoy excellent local peasant cuisine.
